Additional Charges

All additional charges will be assessed to your CNS Statement and Summary account aside from your monthly Basic or Enhanced DSL service fee. Additional Charges are a one-time fee only.

Early Termination Fee
If you cancel your DSL account before the one-year contract with AT&T expires you will be charged a $200.00 early termination fee.

Federal Universal Service Fund (FUSF) Pass-Through Fee
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) uses the Federal Universal Service Fund (FUSF) to subsidize telecommunications needs such as:

• Discounts for consumers with low-income
• Provide schools and libraries resources accessible through the telecommunications network
• Health-care provider links in rural areas providing the same access as an urban community
• Financial support to companies that provide telecommunication services where the cost is high

AT&T Internet Services obtains DSL Transport, a component of your Internet access service, from its telecommunications carrier affiliate (UC Berkeley) is required to make contributions to the FUSF. FCC regulations permit telecommunications carries to charge a recovery fee to Internet Service Providers (e.g. AT&T Internet Services) for recovery of contributions paid by the telecommunications carrier into the FUSF. AT&T Internet Services pays such a FUSF recovery fee, and passes the recovery fee it pays through to the customer. The FUSF Pass-Through Fee is assessed on your monthly AT&T Yahoo! DSL charge. There will be a separate line item on your bill for the charge, where it will appear as: Fed Univ Srv Pass-Through Fee

The FCC sets the FUSF rate and the FUSF rate can change quarterly. During your term, however, the rate you pay will not exceed the rate when you signed up. If the FCC adjusts the rate down, your charge will be adjusted accordingly. This fee is not a tax or government required charge.

Sales & Use Tax Fee
Any additional sales and taxes totaling $8.50.

Shipping & Handling Fee
If a request was made for equipment to be sent to your home or office, an additional charge of $12.95 or more will be processed.

Technician Installation Fee
When DSL is added to your phone line you have the option of having a self-installation kit sent to the DSL site for personal installation or you may have a technician go to the site to install DSL for you. An installation appointment will be made once your DSL order is processed. A DSL installation charge of $360.00 will be charged to your IST Statement and Summary account as a one-time fee.

Wireless Office Gateway Fee
You will be charged for a wireless modem if requested.
