What You Need to Get Started
Before you place your DSL order, take a look at the computer equipment you are currently using. DSL will not work if these minimum computer requirements are not met. You must have your computer manufacturer's Owner's Guide and computer's Operating system on installation media (CD or diskettes)
DSL Minimum System Requirements For:
Windows
Both technician installation and customer self-installation of AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet is available for computers that meet the following minimum system requirements:

AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet provides an Internet browser for use with your service. AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet is compatible with
many Internet browsers and you are not obligated to use AT&T's browser. However, to obtain support for email,
news, home pages or general browsing, you will be required to use the software provided with the purchase
of AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet.
Macintosh G3, G4 and iMac do not require a Network Interface Card.

Windows
- From your computer's desktop, right-click on the My Computer icon.
- Select Properties.
- Select the General tab.
- The Computer category notes your Processor type (for example, "Pentium® II Processor").
Mac OS 9.x
- Under the Apple menu, select Apple System Profiler.
- Select the System Profile tab.
- Processor speed is listed under Machine speed (for example, "733 MHz").
- If this information is not visible, click on the triangle to the left of Hardware overview to expand that section; repeat step 3.
Mac OS X
- Double-click the Macintosh HD (hard drive) icon (usually located in the upper right-hand corner of the computer's desktop).
- Click on the Applications icon (usually located at the top of the window) to open.
- Find and double-click on the Utilities folder.
- Find and double-click Apple System Profiler.
- Select the System Profile tab.
- Processor speed is listed under Machine speed (for example, "733 MHz").
- If this information is not visible, click on the triangle to the left of Hardware overview to expand that section; repeat step 6.

Please note: If your operating system is not listed in our minimum system requirements table or in operating system selection menus, it is not supported at this time.
Windows

- The System category notes your Operating System (for example, "Microsoft Windows XP").
Mac OS 9.x
- Under the Apple menu, select Apple System Profiler.
- Select the System Profile tab.
- The operating system version is listed under System heading (for example, "9.1 US").
- If this information is not visible, click on the triangle to the left of Software overview to expand that section; repeat step 3.
Mac OS X
- Double-click the Macintosh HD (hard drive) icon (usually located in the upper right-hand corner of the computer's desktop).
- Click on the Applications icon (usually located at the top of the window) to open.
- Find and double-click on the Utilities folder.
- Find and double-click Apple System Profiler.
- Select the System Profile tab.
- The operating system version is listed under System (for example, "Mac OS X 10.1.5 (5556)").
- If this information is not visible, click on the triangle to the left of Software overview to expand that section; repeat step 6.

- If you have a CD-ROM Drive, this screen will display an icon depicting a drive and CD disk. Typically, this icon is labelled D:.
Mac OS 9.x
- Under the Apple menu, select Apple System Profiler.
- Select the Devices and Volumes tab.
- If a CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD, DVD-ROM, or DVD-RAM drive is present, it will appear in the list of devices displayed.
Mac OS X
- Double-click the Macintosh HD (hard drive) icon (usually located in the upper right-hand corner of the computer's desktop).
- Click on the Applications icon (usually located at the top of the window) to open.
- Find and double-click on the Utilities folder.
- Find and double-click Apple System Profiler.
- Select the Devices and Volumes tab.
- If a CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD, DVD-ROM, or DVD-RAM drive is present, it will appear in the list of devices displayed.

- Select Properties.
- Select the General tab.
- Free Space is the amount of available disk space.
Mac OS 9.x
- Click on the Macintosh HD (hard drive) icon (usually located in the upper right-hand corner of the computer's desktop). This is the start-up disk.
- From the File menu, select Get Info.
- The Available listing shows the amount of available disk space.
Mac OS X
- Click the Macintosh HD (hard drive) icon (usually located in the upper right-hand corner of the computer's desktop). This is the start-up disk.
- From the File menu, select Show Info.
- The Available listing shows the amount of available disk space.

Check DSL availability in your area before ordering.
Customers must live within approximately 17,500 feet of their central telephone switch.
